This limited a kings power by demanding that the king/kings no longer imprison or punish any person by judgement. This document contains four main points, 1. No taxes without the Parliament's consent, 2. No English person could be imprisoned without cause or trial (mainly stated above), 3. No quartering of soldiers in any citizens home, 4. and lastly, No martial law may be used in peacetime (when a country is not at war).

This is a series of laws that restricted the use of foreign trade between Britain and it's colonies.

This prohibited a standing army in peacetime. It also includes guarantees. Examples are the right to a fair trial and the freedom of excessive bail. Also, all parliamentary elections are free!

There are two names for this act. The Sugar Act, and the Molasses Act. This act is for citizens to pay taxes for a gallon of molasses. This act was created to raise revenue for the military cost.

The Stamp Act is a law that was created where stamps must be placed on legal documents, newspapers, and business agreements. American colonists where required to pay a tax on every piece of printed paper they used. The stamp represents that they paid that tax and shows that it is approved by some source of the U.S. government.

The Boston Tea party took place December 16th,1773, when three men, disquised as Native Americans, got on three ships and dumped tea into the Bosten Harbor. It was a protest for the British control of tea trade and against the British taxes.

The Coercive Act is when Massachusetts self-government and historic rights where taken away from the colonies. This triggered and started outrage through out the thirteen colonies. This all started from the Boston Tea Party.

This was a meeting of delegates (or representatives) from the thirteen colonies to discuss liberty for their people. But that wasn't all, it was the discussion for the start of the Revolutionary War. They wanted their independence!

On July 4th, 1776, U.S representatives signed a declaration that protects our rights. The committee of five (Benjerman Franklin, John Adams, Roger Sherman, Robert Livingston,and Thomas Jefferson) signed this declaration that protects our rights.Examples of these rights include the right to vote, the right to speak freely, the rights for life, liberty, and property, and ect.
