The King agreed to give people basic rights. It was the first attempt to decide who would govern America. -

The Navigation Act was a set of 29 rules that regulated trade between the colonies and other countries. The colonies were able to make a large amount of money by trade and got nessesary resorces. -
English Bill of Rights
The English Bill of Rights have the English people certain rights. Many of these rights would be used in the American Bill of Rights later on. -
Proclamation of 1763
The Proclamation of 1763 kept people from moving past the Appalachians. This didn't go well with the colonists and they didn't like the idea. -
The Sugar Act
The Sugar Act put a high tax on sugar. It was more of an economic impact than colonial impact. -
Stamp Act
The Stamp Act placed a tax on stamps meaning legal documents needed to be taxed. This act would give the English money. -

The Boston Tea Party was a rebellious act against the unfair taxes. This would lead to the revolutionary war. -
Coercive Act
Coercive Act was a list of laws. This was the British response to the rebellion and the Boston Tea Party. This would lead to the First Continental Congress -
The First Continental Congress
This was when a few people from each colony met and decided to break free from England and govern itself. This would lead to the freedom of the colonies from Wnglish control. -
First Shot Fired at Lexington
This was the event that started the Revolutionary War officially. -
Second Continental Congress
The Second Continental Congress had a large amount of the first members and more. These people would plan for the war and the future. -
The Declaration of Independence
The Declaration of Independence was the document that gave the colonies independence from England. This also ended the war.
