League of Nations
This was established a few weeks after the Paris Peace Conference and was an unanimous agreement to create the League of Nations. The reason for creating the league was to prevent war and make it a crime against society by starting war. Another idea was that if countries joined the league than there was be a smaller chance of creating wars. -
Mussolini
Benito Mussolini was the founder of the Fascist Party and wanted Italy to become an empire. He would have groups of people called Black Shirts that would terrorize the political opponents and helped spread the Fascist movement. Mussolini preached he was the only person who could save Italy from chaos and was appointed prime minister in 1922. He removed all democratic institutions over time, by 1925 he had become a dictator. -
Rise of Nazi Party
President Hindenburg chooses Adolf Hitler to be the chancellor of Germany. Adolf Hitler did not win this role through election but through a a deal that was constitutionally questionable. Within the next 2 years the Nazi's overcame the rest of the political candidates which soon lead to the beginning of the dictatorship.
