    Invention of Newspaper
    The first movie theater was built in Pittsburgh by John P. Harris and Harry Davis which was also the first theater that was built in America. The name of the theater was Nickelodeon, and it had become a new source of entertainment for the public. It had an effect on the media because since many people would go to movies, they would put ads in before the movie for people to view. This became a new way for people to advertise to the public.

    The two first inventors of the radio were James Clerk Maxwell and Heinrich Rudolph Hertz. In the 1860s, they had predicted the existence of radio waves. Overtime the development of the radio would turn into what we know now. The invention of the radio has effected the media because it has given people a faster way of learning whats going on in the world than through the newspaper.

He began the creation of the television while he was in high school in order to be able to create a system that could capture moving images. The creation of the television has effected the media the way that we are able to view it. Instead of waiting to through the radio, we are now able to just turn on the tv to see what is going on in the world.

    The Great Depression had lasted from 1929 to 1939, and was the worst economic downturn. It began after the market crash of October 1929, which sent Wall Street into a panic and wiped out millions of investors. Over the next several years, consumer spending and investment dropped, causing steep declines in industrial output and employment as failing companies laid off workers. This had effected the media because it was a major, national and financial catastrophie.

    On this day Orson Wells had said on the radio that aliens were coming to attack. This scared the entire nation and led to everyone going crazy trying to either prepare for the martians to attack or try to run away as far as possible. This effected the media because it showed at the time how powerful media on the radio can be, because it was the only source for people. It also taught that the media needs to be responsible with what they say, because the people that listen will take it seriously.

The attack was also known for leading to the United States' entry into World War II. The attack had an effect on the media because it unified the country in its war efforts.

    In 1945, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt had passed away after four momentous terms in office, leaving the Vice President in charge of a country still fighting the Second World War and in possession of a weapon of unprecedented and terrifying power. This had effected the media because it was an unexpected death.

    Due to threat of Nazi Germans beginning to build their own atomic bombs, a group of american scientists had begun to build there atomic bomb as well. The very first bomb test was taken at Trinity Site near Alamogordo, New Mexico. This affected the media because it was a sign of hope that the war would come to an end.

It was the second of the Indochina Wars and was officially fought between North Vietnam and the government of South Vietnam. This effected the media because it was the first time that cameras were allowed to film during the battles.

    The Sputnik 1 was the first artificial Earth satellite. The Soviet Union launched it into an elliptical low Earth orbit on 4 October 1957. This had an effect on the media because the Russians got ahead of America which scared the country.

    Mercury-Atlas 6 was the third human spaceflight for the U.S. The mission was piloted by astronaut John Glenn, who performed three orbits of the Earth, making him the first U.S. astronaut to orbit the Earth. This effected the media because you were able to watch him inside the craft as he orbited the Earth.

    Lee Harvey Oswald was a former marine and marxist who assassinated United States President John F. Kennedy. According to four federal government investigations and one municipal investigation, Oswald had shot and killed Kennedy using a sniper rifle as the President was traveling through the city in Dallas, Texas. He had a major effect on the media because he was killed on live tv.

    Shortly after noon, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated as he had driven through Dealey Plaza in downtown Dallas, Texas. Bullets had struck the president's neck and head. The governor was also hit in the chest. The media had helped unified the country during the time of deep sorrow.

This effected the media because lots of the abuse by police and law enforcement against the peaceful protesters.

He was a prominent leader of the Civil Rights Movement and Nobel Peace Prize laureate who was known for his use of nonviolence and civil disobedience. This effected the media because it caused righteous in the major cities.

    Apollo 11 was the spaceflight that landed the first two humans on the moon, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. They both landed the lunar module Eagle on July 20, 1969, Armstrong became the first to step onto the lunar surface six hours after landing on July 21, Aldrin joined him about 20 minutes later. This effected the media because you were able to watch the moon landing.

This had a major effect on the media because it was the first time ever where the public had seen a president resign on live tv.

    The Apollo-Soyuz Project was the first joint U.S.–Soviet space flight, as a symbol of the policy that the two superpowers were pursuing at the time. It involved the docking of an Apollo Command/Service Module with the Soviet Soyuz 19. It had effected the media because it shown cooperation between the U.S. and the Soviets.

    The Egypt–Israel Peace Treaty was signed in Washington, D.C., United States on 26 March 1979, following the 1978 Camp David Accords. The Egypt–Israel treaty was signed by Egyptian president Anwar Sadat and Israeli prime minister Menachem Begin, and witnessed by United States president Jimmy Carter. This effected the media because it showed that there could be peace in the Middle East.

    On March 30, 1981, President Ronald Reagan and three others were shot and wounded by John Hinckley Jr. in Washington, D.C., as they were leaving a speaking engagement at the Washington Hilton Hotel.This had effected the media cause it was caught on film.

    On January 28, 1986, the NASA shuttle and the tenth flight of Space Shuttle Challenger broke apart 73 seconds into its flight, killing all seven crew members, which had consisted of five NASA astronauts and two payload specialists. The spacecraft disintegrated over the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Cape Canaveral, Florida. This effected the media because it was filmed and shown to the public.

Two years later, deliriously happy East and West Germans did break down the infamous barrier between East and West Berlin. This effected the media because it was an iconic speech in hopes to end communism.

Its purpose was to connect the world through the use of communication, and also became a way to provide information to everyone as well. The internet effected the media because it became a new and more powerful way to provide information to the public. Today, more people gain information from the news through the internet rather than through television.

    On February 28, 1993, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms raided Mount Carmel Center. The raid resulted in the deaths of four agents and six Branch Davidians. Shortly after the initial raid, the FBI took command of the federal operation, since the FBI has jurisdiction over incidents involving the deaths of federal agents. Contact was established with Koresh inside the compound. This effected the media because it was shown to the public.

    On July 16, 1999, John F. Kennedy Jr. died when the airplane he was piloting crashed into the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. The two passengers on board, Kennedy's wife Carolyn Bessette and her sister Lauren, were also killed. This effected the media because it was another major death in the Kennedy family.

    On June 25, 2009, Michael Jackson died of acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication at his home in the Holmby Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles. His personal physician, Conrad Murray, said he had found Jackson in his room, not breathing and with a barely detectable pulse, and that he administered CPR on Jackson to no avail. His death effected the media because of how much of an icon he was to the public.

This effected the media because it was environmental disaster.
