Teachers will perfect the practice of conferring with their students during readers & writers workshop by watching a literacy coach come into their classrooms and confer with their students during a 30 min lesson.

Teachers will debrief with the literacy coach on what they observed in the readers/writers workshop lesson. The focus will be on conferring and how to perfect their practice of conferring.

Over the next few weeks, teachers will practice conferring in their classrooms using the new strategies that they observed in the classroom.

The staff will take part in the ObserveMe initiative and have the ability to observe each other conferring in action using the strategies that were taught during the conferring PD.
