    The French and Indian War was a war between France and the Colonies of Britain. Other than the colonies and the French, Native Americans were also involved as the ally of France. This event is important to American history because it's when the colonies were starting to work together and form as one against Britain.

    The Boston Massacre was a street fight between a mob of Patriots and a squad of British soldiers. The mob of Patriots threw snowballs, stones, and sticks at the squad of British soldiers. The British soldiers fired, and some of the colonists were killed. One of the Patriots who was involved was Crispus Attucks. He was the first African American to die for the American Cause. This event is important to American history because it is one of the causes to the American Revolution.

    The Boston Tea Party was a political protest organized by the sons of liberty on December 16, 1773. The organization smashed chest of tea and dumped them into the harbor because of the tea act. Therefore, king George passed the Intolerable Acts.

    Lexington and Concord was the first shots of the American Revolution. It was when British troops were sent to confiscate colonial weapons, but run into angry militia. No one knows if the British or the militia shot the first shot. This event is important to American history because the militia's victory boosted their confidence for the war ahead.

George Washington was the commander of the entire Continental Army. This event is significant to American History because it's the war that was fought to form the United States.

    The Louisiana Purchase was when Thomas Jefferson purchased land from France. Thomas Jefferson purchased the land for $15 million dollars. This is significant to Americna history because this land purchase doubled the size of the United States.

    The War of 1812 was a war between the United Statas and Britain. This war occured because Britain impressed American sailors into Britain's navy. This is significant to American history because this war developed nationalism and westward expansion.

    Dred Scott Decision was a court case between Dred Scott and Sanford. Scott decided to sue for his freedom, since his owner brought him in a free state. When it was taken to court, the judge ruled that slaves are property, and therefore Scott couldn't be free from his owner. This is important to American history because it is one of the causes of the Civil War.

    Lincoln's election was an election for presidency between Abraham Lincoln, John C. Breckinridge, John Bell, and Stephen A. Douglas. Lincoln and Breckinridge had the same amount of electoral votes, but Lincoln won the election. This is important to American history because it's what made the south secede, and the Civil War start.
