    When Christopher Columbus sailed acroos the Alantic Ocean he came across land. Which was soon named America. This is important because if Christopher Columbus wouldnt have discovered America the people would never be free. We wouldnt have the rights we have now or even be alive.
  • Bostan Tea Party

    Bostan Tea Party
    Highly burdened by taxes them-selves, the British were merely asking the colonies to bear the expense of their own administration.The Boston Tea Party was a key event in growth of the American Revolution. This is important to us because if we didnt have the Tea Party we would stil be paying taxes to the British government.

    The Declaration of Independence was a statement adopted by the Continental Congress. Which announced that the thirteen american colonies, than at war with Great Britian, regarded themselves as independent states. If we did not have The Declaration of Independence we wouldnt be free.

    It had been drafted by a group of national leaders in Philidelphia, who then presented it to the general public of consideration. This is important because it was a whole new set fo rules for organizing national government. If we did not have the constitution we would not have an organized government.

    He oversaw the creation of a strong, well-financed national government that maintaned neutrality in the wars raging in Europe. He won acceptance among Americans of all types. This is important because if George Washington would havent of ever became president then we would not of had our government system that made us as succesful as we are now.

    On September 25, the First Congress of the United States therefore proposed to the legislatures 12 amendments to the constitution. This is important because it states our rights and our freedom so we have some rights.
  • Lewis and Clark Expedition

    The Lewis and Clark Expedition was the first transcontinental expedition to the Pacific Coast undertaken by the United States. Their objective was scientific and commercial- to study the area's plants, animal life, and geography, and to learn how the religion could be exploited economically. This is important because if the plants and animals would have never been discovered.

    Gold was found by James W. Marshall at Shudders Mill in Coloma California. The first to hear confirmed ionformation of the Gold Rush where the people in Oregon, Hawaii Latin America who were the first to start flocking to the state in late 1848. This is important because there would be no people living in California if the Gold Rush didn't happen.
  • American Civil War

    American Civil War
    Eleven southern slave states declared there secession from the United States and formed the Confederate states of America. The other 25 states supported the federal government. After four years of warfare the Confederate surrendered and slavery was abolished. This is important because if we wouldn't of had the Civil War we still would have slaves.
  • Emancipation Proclomation

    Emancipation Proclomation
    The Emancipation Proclomation is order issued by Abraham LIcoln durin the American Civil War. It proclaimed the freedom of the slaves in the ten states. The proclomation immediately freed 50,00 slaves. This is important to us today because if slaves wouldnt have of been freed certain people would not have freedom like others do. Also we would still be in the civil war.
