Madam C.J. Walker's mother dies. A year later in 1875 Owen her father died as well. Madam C.J. Walker is now only seven and both of her parents are gone.

About two short years went by after having a child until Moses McWilliams past away. He is said to of died in an accident. Sarah Breedlove is now widowed at only 20 years old.

During this year Sarah moved to Denver, Colorado. She worked as a hair care sales representative for Annie Malone. Also during this time Sarah came up with a method of straightening African-American hair.

During this year Sarah got married to Charles Joseph Walker. This marriage made her name now Madam C.J. Walker. He was a newspaper worker so that helped Madam C.J. Walker get her hair products advertised.

During this year Madam C.J. Walker moved to Pittsburgh, and opened Lelia College. She had her daughter, Lelia, manages it, and also had a factory to make all of her products.

This year she moved to Indianapolis, Indiana to start headquarters for her hair products.

On this day Madam C.J. Walker died at the age of 50. She died at Villa Lewaro.
