Transmit passion for Technology!
My Action Plan starts with a change of attitude towards technology. I need to learn how to enjoy the use of technology to model it to my students.
First, I will explore more online resources and learn how to use them, that way I can encourage my students to use them as strategies to support their learning as well.
For example, I would like to learn more about VoiceThread and MindMeister...I think they would be very useful for the goals of my classes! -
Eco-friendly Homework
I will create a list of my students' e-mail addresses to share materials and homework with them. My students don't like using their notebooks that much, so I think they'll love it. -
Use of interactive Whiteboard
I will look for more significant uses of the Interactive White board in every day activities. I will also need some training on how to use it. -
Writing Classes
This month I'm going to implement the use of online material in writing classes to have students support their writing with online sources and critically justify their point of view using multimedia presentations.
This will also be a good moment to teach them citation rules, I will have to find a tool for that too. -
Cellphones to Learn
The goal of this month will be to find creative ways to implement the use of cellphones for educational purposes. I could take some ideas from the study case my group had to read about and come up with some others, considering my students needs. -
Evaluate
Evaluate positive and negative aspects of academic actiities is an important aspect of my school. I will evaluate with my students the implementeation of these simple activities I decided to start with, considering that it is also a challenge for me to commit more to the use and modeling of technological resources. It will imply lots of online hours to look for interesting resources that suit my students’ personalities and possibilities and devote some time to explore them .
