The Anschluss of 1938 was Hitler's attempt of reuniting the Austrians who spoke German & increase food supplies, defences and soldiers. Their influence and power made it a foundation of Germany's power.This was one of Hitler's many ways of trying to gain power. -

The Munich Conference
The Munich conference was Hitler's next attempt to gain more power by taking over part of Czechoslovakia, but Czechoslovakia wouldn't fall. So as a result, France and the Soviet Union defended them just in case hitler tried to attack. As a result, Hitler took over Sudentenland and broke apart Czechoslovakia. -
The Nazi- Soviet Pact
The Nazi-Soviet Pact kept Germany from going to war with Russia while Germany was headed to go against Britain and France. As agreed upon in the deal, Germany was given Polish lands. -
WWII Begins
The war kicks off with Hitler invading both Poland and eastern Russia. As a result, Britain and France decided to declare war on Germany. This shows Hitler's strong desire to conquer and control all areas of the world. -
Danzig and the Polish Corridor
In an effort to take Danzig and keep Poland, Hitler wanted to build a highway and railroad across Poland that would have all of Germany, Danzig and East Prussia conected. Based on these actions, you can see that Hitler is becoming drunk with power.
