POSITIVE: At 5-6 months old, my mom read various children's' stories to me every night before bed and before nap-time. She would read for 5-10 minutes at a time. Goodnight Moon was one of my favorite stories as a child.

POSITIVE: By the time I was 1 year old, my mom was reading to me for up to 20 minutes at a time. "Where the Wild Things Are" was another favorite.

POSITIVE: By the time I was 2 years old, my mom was keeping various stories in the car for me to read. "The Giving Tree" was another personal favorite.

POSITIVE: I began Kindergarten at 4 years old and learned how to read using the "Whole Language" method.
