Literacy Timeline

    I watched alot of Barney when I was toddler. My mom said it was the only thing that would calm me down and keep my attention. I also believe thats why my favorite color is Purple.

    My mom would read many of the little golden book stoires to me at bedtime. Some of my favorites were 101 Dalmations, CInderalla, & Snow White.

    I remember all the funny pictures and rymes in the Dr. Seuss books that were read to me as a child. My favorite was "Green Eggs and Ham."
  • Started first grade and began to love reading!!

    I remember my first grade teacher and how fun she made reading to be. She read alot out loud to the class.

    I remember being read Stellaluna and then rereading it over and again because I liked it so much.

    My favorite show in the elementary grades was "Full House." I grew up along side the Olsen twins and watched them grow with me. I still watch the re-runs. I learned a lot through this show.

    I remember my favorite was "Fifteen." I still have it to this day.

    I remember watching the movie "Where the Heart is" and loving it so much. I heard that it was first a book, so I got the book and read it straight through, It was a such a good read.

    We were told to pick an author from a list and I picked Kate Chopin. I'm so glad I did, I loved her book "The Awakening."

    A friend told me about this series and from the moment I started reading, I couldn't put it down. I read all 3 books within a few weeks.
