Snug Bug was the book my parents read to be every single night before bed as a young kid (age 1 to age 5 in this timeline). This book was the first book I ever loved.

The Scholastic Book Fairs in elementary school were such a huge part of my childhood. Always the best part of the school year.

In the first grade, my parents got a not with my report card that said my reading skills were above grade level.

I began reading this series when I was in 2nd grade. I probably read every single book in the series 3 or 4 times over the next couple years.

I was reading out loud in class in high school and after class the teacher approached my in order to compliment me on my excellent speaking skills. I was complimented on the speed and clearness of my speech and it is a compliment that has stuck with me ever since.

I wrote my first college paper in 2012.

I still love to read for pleasure. I read at least 5 or 6 novels per year and will continue a lifelong love of reading.
