    During the school year of second grade, we would read to the kindergartners to practice our reading skills. We would read to same kid twice a week, and therefor bonded with person we were assigned.

    We had Book It in second grade. we would have to read so many minutes to get a free personal pizza from Pizza Hut.

    In fifth grade for English class, we were required to right one short story every week. Eventually as the school year went on, everyone's stories started to react towards each others and a new world was formed through our stories.

    During this time in my life I wrote lots of personal letters to people in my life and kept a plethora of journals. Most, if not all, of these journals/letters were written when my depression was at its worst.
  • Reading In Art Class

    During my freshman year of high school I read a lot. It was my way of avoiding my responsibilities.
  • It's Kind Of A Funny Story

    My favorite book of all time is the book It's Kind Of A Funny Story by Ned Vizzini. I have read the book three times. I read is based on recommendation from the librarian at school.

    Every year Theater Fest is held for high schools to compete at with their one act plays. This was my first year attending.

    During my junior year of high school I joined Mock Trail. Your team is given a fake court case and you are either given a role of witness or lawyer. I was a witness my first year. You have to learn your character and know them well.

    My tumblr account became my online journal that was, in a way, public. Anyone could view it, but you had to know what my account name was.
  • Les Miserables

    Les Miserables
    During my senior year of high school I was in the musical Les Miserables. It was a lot of work to memorize all the songs. Especially since the whole thing is in song.
  • The Farce Strikes Back

    The one act plays my senior year were a little unmemorable. I do remember fun and laughter and tears. I also remember lots of lines to memorize.
  • Senior Memory Book

    During the final semester of the senior year of high school everyone was required to complete a "Senior Memory Book." It was basically a scrapbook of your life. Every page had a different theme or event accompanied with photos and a small entry about it.

    The Tommy Awards are awards for high school theater in southern Wisconsin. This year my high school won the award for best musical. We performed on stage at the Overture Center. It was also the same day as my high school graduation.

    Nannying

    With my current job, I read to the kids almost everyday. I taught the youngest how to write his alphabet and his name. I'm helping him learn how to read.
  • Max Starts 4K

    When Max started going to school, I started reading to him everyday. He started to get more comfortable with me reading to him and he started asking more and more questions.
  • Wednesdays at the Library

    Last school, every Wednesday after I picked up Max from school, we would go to the library for story time. This was his favorite day of the week. He got to pick out books and movies that he didn't have at home. He would run up and down the aisle looking for the perfect book.

    I grew up with my mom always being in plays and musicals. This was her second time in Nunsense. She played the nun from Brooklyn that drove the bus.
