By Decree of June 30, the first fifteen Labour Institutes of Spain.
This list includes our center, which adds to the offer education, in our region, which was already represented by the high school Saint Barbara in Badajoz, and Saint Eulalia in Merida. -
DECEMBER 1950
The labor high school “Santiago Apóstol” (Middle and professional school ) began to function as a Middle and Professional Education Center in the building recently ended for the schooler group " Saint Roque " That year was the first year of the five that made up the high school. Elementary and to access it had to pass an entrance exam. In this first stage the number of students was about 100 and 130 mans. They study at the Elemental Baccalaureate of Mining Industry. -

At the end of this grade the building was ending , by the architect Manuel Fisac. The problems with the water and the sewers delayed the transfer of the students .
Nine graduates in baccalaureate elemental and before pass the exams they continue with the studies in Tarazona . -

The Residence of Our Lady of Guadalupe begins to operate, with capacity for 36 non-resident students in Almendralejo.

The Institute will be transformed into a Vocational Training Institute
The studies of Vocational Training of 1 degree (FP-I) are implanted in this course of the Administrative Branch.In second grade (FP-2) students study Administrative and Commercial.
It involves the entry of women as students in a center that had been exclusively male. -

Five Delegated Sections that offered are attached to our center:
FP-I of the Administrative branch: Zafra, Llerena and Villafranca de los Barros.
FP-I of the Metal branch: Llerena.
FP-I of the Automotive branch: Villafranca de los Barros. -
1978/79
The classrooms known as "Las Malvinas" are inaugurated During this course we received the visit of the Minister of Education being D. Pedro del Poplar the Director of the center. -
1980/81
Practicing basketball, on dirt court, in the Malvinas area. -
1981/1982
The new Classroom - Mechanics Workshop is put into operation. -
1985/86
The students of the Branch of Administrative, in 2o Degree, will be able to opt now also for studying Management Informatics.
The Institute begins with twenty-four students between 14/16 years what is known such as the Experimental Reformation or Reformation of the Middle Teachings (REM).
The Technological – Practical classroom is built. (Current classroom "Plastic and Visual") -
1986/87
The works of extension of the "New Building" are inaugurated. It is no longer necessary to morning and afternoon shift.
The extension of the "New Building" is inaugurated, comprising new classrooms next to the cafeteria, a new hall of access to the center and apartments. -
1988/89
The experimental teachings of Industrial Technical Baccalaureate begin. -
1990/91
The interior of the Assembly Hall is restored: new seats replace the former wooden benches. -
1992/93

Level II module of "Laboratory Assistant" and the last one is taught "Laboratory Operator" course. -
1993/94
The LOGSE is implemented. The Institute becomes a Teaching Institute high school. A Social Guarantee Program for the Professional Family is implemented

Training Cycle of Medium Degree of Machining.
Bachelor of Arts and Sciences Social. -
1995/96
It is implanted: Medium Degree Training Cycle of Consumer Electronic Equipment. -
1998/99
It is implanted:
Training Cycle of Higher Degree of Systems of Regulation and Control Automatic.
Training Cycle of Higher Degree of Alimenta Industries.
Two classrooms are built for the training cycles of Higher Degree in building separate."Roofs" are placed in the oldest classrooms to take advantage of the heat. The first Days of Classical Humanities are celebrated. -

II Raid Science and Technology is held in our center. -

One more edition of the European Festival of Greco-Latin Theatre of Mérida, and in which our center has been participating.
It has been held since 1997 and is performed by and for young people from all over Spain. -

One more year a project presented to the Cultural Routes program by Extreadura, allows us to visit, in this occasion, the archaeological site of Cáparra, the center of high performance the high performance center sports "El Anillo", the Monfragüe National Park and the town of Trujillo. -

For the first time a Virtual Graduation is done. Students who finished their studies this course they could not do otherwise after three months of confinement and online classes. -
