-Eat a healthy diet, make sure your body gets sufficient nutrients, limit fast foods and processesd foods.
-Exercise regularly

-Avoid smoking and other tobacco products
-Avoid illegal substances and drink alcohol in moderation
-Always wear a seatbelt, don't use cell phones when driving
-Get sufficient rest

-Have routine medical check-ups every 2 years

30's

-Do not smoke or use tobacco products
-Use sunlight protection, ie. sunscreen

-Eat healthy, plenty of vegetables, fruits, and lean-proteins

-Build more muscle, your body is starting to replace muscle with fat
-Care for your skin, use moisturizers and cleansers
-Take care of your back, keep good posture and use proper lifting techniques

40s
Health Concerns:
-Eat healthy and exercise regularly
-Risk for heart problems like heart attacks, stroke, and chronic pain such as arthritis increases with age
-Other concerns include Osteoporosis, Blood glucose, & Depression

-Physical exam-every 2-3 years, or as recommended
-Dental care-every 6-12 months or as recommended
-Eye exam-every 2 years, or as recommended
-Cholesterol screening-Every 5 years, or as recommended
-Skin exam- first determine risk, then determine exam frequency -
50s
Healthy Habits:
-Stay physically and mentally active, at least 30-60 mins of exercise a day
-Eat healthy, cut back salt and unhealthy fats, eat more heatlhy fats (omega-3s)
-Maintain a healthy weight, account for your slower metabolism
-Drink alcohol in moderation
-Avoid illegal drugs and substances
-Reduce your stress

-Colorectal cancer screening should start at 50, or earlier if risk is increased
-Testicular exam-at every physical or as recommended -

-Care for your heart, watch your blood pressure, cholesterol, etc, and keep them in a safe range.

-Bone density test-at age 60 or 65, or as recommended
