Whe the family reached the polish border they were ordered off the train. They had to take off their clothes and were to be examined by a docter. The family passed the exams and were cleared to go into poland. -
Typhus in Motziv
The family arrives in Motziv. Unfortunatly Rifkah gets Typhus, a deadly disease. Papa found a medical student to help her. -
Thiefs, Herring, and Typhus
Saul found him and RIfkah a room in a cheap inn while the rest of the family had Typhus. Saul would bring her herring and rolls. One morning Rifkah tried to save hers for Saul for dinner but the innkeepers daughters stole it and ate it. -
On to Warsaw
The family is headed to Warsaw to board a ship and go to America. On the train to Warsaw ifkah meets a girl with a baby. They talk a while. Rifkah realizes she has red bumps on her head with bald spots. -
