    The Allied Invasion of France. Paris is liberated in August. This is important because it is regarded as one of the most important events in WW2 and led to the wars conclusion in Europe

    Atomic Bombs are dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This is important because this was the first ever atomic bomb used and it is what caused the Japanese to surrender
