    The Boston Massacre was a street fight on March 5,1770. It was between a Patriot mob and British soldiers, which resulted in seven colonists being killed.

    The Gaspee Affair
    The HMS Gaspee was a British Schooner that had been enforcing the navigation act around Rhode Island. The Gaspee had ran aground. That evening an attack was planned and carried out. The crew was captured and abandoned on shore to watch as the boat was looted and burned.

    On December 16th, the Sons of Liberty dressed up as Indians and boarded ships that were bringing in British East India Company Tea. In three hours, 340 chests and over 92,000 pounds of tea were dumped into the harbor

    On July 8th, The Declaration of Independence was read publicly for many to hear. Reading this publicly allowed for the public to learn how this was going to affect the country they live in.

    When France decided to aide the United States against Great Britain, they signed the French alliance.

    To end the war, The United States and Great Britain got together to sign the Treaty of Paris, which recognizes the United States as an independent country.
