    This is the main event that started the American Revolution. This was put Great Britain in debt so the startedx to tax the colonies to pay off the debt.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    The Sugar Act started the out cries of the colonies because they had no one in parlement to represent them which ment they also had no say in what happened to them.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    This was the last straw fot the colonies they now had to pay a large tax on everything and they were just tired of paying extra when that extra wasnt even benifentiong them.
  • Townshend Acts

    Townshend Acts
    This was to raise revenue in the colonies to pay the salaries of the judges and the governers. This is when the colorists finally started to boycot british imports.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    British troops were sent to boston to help enforce the townshend act and a group of colonist started to harrasse the troops so that caused the British to open fire. This left several wounded and five dead and it became an excuse to get people to support the colonists in rebelling against the British.
  • Boston Tea Party

    In boycott of the tea act British Americans went on board and dumped all the tea into the ocean.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    The Quartering act ment that colonists were required to provide housing for soldiers. This was part of a group of laws that came to be known as the Intolerable Acts. The acts were designed to restore imperial control over the American colonies.
  • First Continental Congress

    First Continental Congress
    this was held because the colinists were very upset about all the taxes. There for this group decided to boycot all of britishes goods untill they changed their policies.
  • Commitee of Correspondents

    Commitee of Correspondents
    This committee was formed to spread the opposition to the intolerable acts and would be tasked with contacting the legislatures of each colony so that they could join Virginia and exchange their opinions of the British
  • Declaration of Independance

    Declaration of Independance
    This urged people living in the colonies to throw out the unfair government led by the king.
