    This aircraft was the first ever British built aircraft to enter war with a synchronised machine gun. It was designed at The Sopwith Aviation company in Kingston as well as being built there. This was the first, main fighting plane built and was the building blocks for many planess to come. It was built in 1916 and named after its 1.5 foot wing height difference.

    The Hawker P.1127 was the first British aircraft that could take-off vertically. It was the protoype to the famous Harrier.
    This aircraft was also a jet aircraft which meant it did not have a propellor.
