China has been kind of in the background for a few years now, but suddenly it takes a turn for the worst; at least that's they way Americans look at it. China has become communist and now we're worried who else will follow. -
North Korea Invades
North Korea invades South Korea. South Korea's army is overwhelmed and the North invades. -
China gets Involved in the Korean War
China was getting worried about the UN armies that were slowly advancing into their territory so they decided to get involved in the Korean War against the South which included the UN. -
MacArthur is Dismissed
President Truman dismissed General Douglas MacArthur as commander of the US Forces. MacArthur had been giving statements to the press that had not been preapproved by the government. -
New Commander
General Matthew Ridgway became the new US commander to replace MacArthur -
The Commonwealth Division
When the Canadian brigade arrives the British, Australian, New Zealand, and Indian units were formed into the first Commonwealth Division. The allies soon became jealous. -
Largest Airstrike
The largest Airstike occured. North Korea was recieving the destruction. -
Prisoners Returned
The battlefields became calm and Operation Big Switch went into order. This was when thousands of former prisoners on each side were returned.
