The first ever digital portfolio conferences take place this week. Students present their digital portfolios to their parents via facetime or google hangout. Parents that do not have access to internet during the day watch a recorded presentation of their child's portfolio.

Kalama launches its Virtual Absence Network. Teachers record their lessons and upload videos to an internal server where students who are absent can log in to watch the lesson.
