Leaving a Legacy Behind
John became very ill during his first semester of college at Princeton University so he left to become better. H did not want to leave but his life depended on it because he got Jaundice. -
Enrolling in a New Legacy
Since he had to leave Princeton he needed a new place to become educated so he chose Harvard University. He chose here because he wanted to become better than his brother at something who already was attending Harvard. -
Papa Ammbassador
On November 14th 1937 John’s father Joseph became the Ambassador of Great Britain. He did this because it helped him gain money for his family and get a new opportunity to try new things. -

Enrolling in the Navy
John enrolled in the United States Navy in 1941 to serve his country. John also did this to prove to his family he was better the Joe at something else. -
Becoming a Captain
In 1943 John became a captain of a torpedo boat labeled the PT-109. By doing this he became a true highly honored naval officer. -
Tragedy on the PT-109
In 1943 John and his crew were spying on the Japanese ships. When spotted the Japanese’s ship attacked them slicing the boat in half. Two men died and one man was brutally burned but Captain John put the crew on his back and swam them to safety. -
Saved at Last
On Ferguson Passage Island where the crew was stranded for six days is where the crew was saved as well. The men gave a message to native islanders on a coconut to give to Americans where two days later the crew was rescued. -
Joesph Gone Forever
On August 20th 1944 a tragedy happened to Johns brother Joseph. He went out on a mission for the US Air Force and never came back. His plane was shot down by a German plane and blew up killing Joe instantly. -
Becoming Part of the US Government
On November 5th 1946 John’s life changed forever when he became part of the House of Representatives. He won by a landslide. He is part of the 11th district Massachusetts. He was in that seat for six years. -
Marrying a Women
John loved Jackie Bouvier so much he asked her to marry him. She said yes and six months later they were married at Saint Mary's Church in Rhode Island. -
The Race to the White House
On July 11th in 1960 John F. Kennedy was elected by the Democratic party to run for the President of the United States. John won a large margin in the democratic race and his campaign became a huge hit in the USA. -
The beginning of a Legacy
On September, 26th 1960 John F. Kennedy has an idea to hold publicly televised debates between the two presidential candidates. This was a huge success in JFK's favor because he did so well in the debates getting him a huge amount of votes. These debates till go on today! -

On January 20th 1961 President John F. Kennedy was sworn under the oath as the 35th president of the United States of America. He won the election by a small landslide of .4 percent. -

While the Cubans and the Americans were at war John made the decision to attack the Cubans by going through the Bay of Pigs. This was a huge mistake because the Cubans knew they were coming and caught them off guard! -

JFK made a huge descion by blocking out the russians of Cuba. This was such a good choice because tehn the Russians did not Nuke the United States. This descion ended the cold war. -
The Death of a President
On November 22nd 1963 at 12:30 a tragedy happened President John F. Kennedy was assonated by Lee Harvey Oswald. It was a tragic day most of the United States broke down in tears hearing this. But three days after JFK died Jack Ruby killed Lee Harvey Oswald in a police station in Dallas.
