The cuban missle crisis was between Cuba and the United States. This was a thirteen day political standoff where there was an installation of nuclear armed soviet missles on Cuba. The United states decided to use military force if nessecary to neutralize the perceived threat to the national security. In the end disaster was avoided when the soviet leader offered to remove cuban missles in exchange for the U.S. not to invade cuba.
