John or, Jack as his family would call him, almost died at the age of 3 from scarlet fever. His dad Joseph was extremely worried about his son and spent almost every day at the hospital by his side.

His brother Joe also went there. And like his brother Joe JFK liked to play football. H was not very good but he enjoyed it. Until one day he ruptured a disk in his spine. He never really recovered from it.

JFK's whole family moved there with eh exception of Joe and John. This was where John became very interested in politics

John wrote a thesis about why Great Britain was not ready for World War 2. It was published in a book called "Why England Slept."

He graduates from Harvard a little after finishing his thesis.

One night while the PT-109 was patrolling looking for enemy ships. Suddenly a Japanese destroyer became visible. It was heading straight towards them. Lt Kennedy tried to swerve the PT-109 out of the way but it was too late. The PT-109 was split in half killing two of Kennedy's men Everyone else managed to jump off the ship. Kennedy, who hut his already weak back, helps Patrick McMahon who got severely burned from the fires. He was about to give up before Kennedy saved him.

Kenedy leads his men to an island a short distance away. All while towing Patrick McMahon on his back. Two natives found the men and went to get help. The next day they were saved. "When he returned home, Jack was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for his leadership and courage."

After his brother, Joe died in the war. John's dad convinced John to run for congress. He ended up winning Massachusetts' eleventh congressional district in 1946. He served three terms of 6 years in the house of representatives.

He is now in the Senate.

The same year he got elected into the senate he also got married. He married Jacqueline Bouvier, A writer of a newspaper.
John's back started to act up again so he had 2 surgeries that help him out with that. -
John is becoming a very popular politician. He almost got picked to be the vice president.

While John was in Texas to give some political speeches a man by the name of Lee Harvey Oswald shot and killed JFK. No, one knows why because a couple of days later a man named Jack Ruby shot and killed Oswald. It was a sad day in American history.
