In Massachusetts days before assuming office as President thanking everyone for a lifetime of freindship and saying, "We mst always consider that we shall be as a city upon a hill--the eyes of all perople are upon us."

Inaugural Address

President JFK swearing in with Chief Justice Earl Warren infront of thousands and presenting us with his inaugural address. He was the youngest, 43, and first Irish Catholic elected.

May 25, 1961

Address to Joint Session of Congress

JFK asks for 9 billion dollars over the next five years for a space project to land on the moon.

Address to the United Nations General Assembly

JFK presented to the UN his thought on a "stronger UN--disarmament and a nuclear test ban--copperation on outer space and econmic development--an end to colonialism--and recongnition of the Communist threats to peace over Berlin and Southeast Asia."

Address at Independence Hall

JFK delivering a speech on the importance of the Declaration of Indenpendence to contemporaries. "This wan't merely independence from Britain but a revolution in human affairs."

Address at Rice University on the Nation's Space Effort

The americans thought of losing the battle of landing on the moon to the Soviets came to an end when JFK addressed his goal of sending our people to the moon first.

Address During the Cuban Missle Crisis

JFK enforms the americans of possible missles from Cuba and also informs the Soviets to remove their weapons from launching at the United States, and we will not invade Cuba. This was the closest to a nuclear war America faced.
