    Born on September 3, 1980 in La Mirada California, Jennie Finch is an Olympic softball player. As an Olympian, she helped the U.S. team win gold. She also played on the U.S. National team, along with the Chicago Bandits, a professional softball team. She now is married and has three children: Ace, Diesel, and Paisley ("Biography").

    Jennie Finch wrote a book about believing in yourself in 2011. She inspires young athletes to work hard to achieve their dreams and goals in life, even if they're not softball related. Jennie discusses what athletes can do physically, emotionally, and mentally to keep moving forward with their goals (Finch and Killion). Through the writing of her book, Jennie Finch inspires others to be the best they can be, conveying the fact that she is a thoughful person who cares about others.
