Sequence 1
Two boys named Heinz and Benno are being sent away to safety on the KIndertransport because Hitler has been elected and the Nazis are just beginning their attack on the Jews. -
Sequence 2
Heinz and Benno are starting their journey to safety. The first time they fail but then they remembered what their papa had said. Their father said “If the guards turn you around just keep tiring.” So the next time they able to get out of Germany. -
Sequence 3
The two boys were sent to Emmakinderhuis where they stay for a couple weeks -
Sequence 4
Benno has just turned 13, and Heinz came to visit Benno at his Bar Mitzvah. -
Sequence 5
Now at this part in the story Benno is telling his story to his grand kids for the very first time.
