Jane Starts starts school as a 5th grader at Alcott Elementary.

Jane gets asked to join "The Clique" by a few girls from her class.

First Bullying
The girls from "The Clique" purposefully excluded Jane from a sleep over. Jane felt sad and like she didn't belong. Jane didn't say anything to anyone. -
Jane Finds a New Friend
Jane finds a new friend and spends her free time at school with him. Since mid-February she hung out by herself. -
Jane begins Gage Middle School as a 7th grader.

Jane gets threatened while at her locker by a girl she has never met.
Jane is threatened that the next day at lunch she will get beat up by the 8th grade bully named Kasey. Jane goes home and tells her parents. Her parents phone the school and nothing happens at lunch the next day. Kasey, the bully, leaves Jane alone. For a while. -
Winter Break Cyberbullying
Over Winter Break Jane recieved a series of text messages, emails, and Facebook posts calling her inappropriate names and accusing her of doing inappropriate things. Jane told her parents and suggested she stay away from technology for a while. -
Jane returns to school
Jane returns to school to find that the same girl as before, Kasey, and a few others started verbally harassing her. Jane reported this to her parents who then contacted the school. -
The bullies are suspended from school.
Because Jane spoke up and told her parents, who then contacted the school, the people responsible for bullying her were suspended from school for three days. Although they have left her alone, Jane still worries if she will be bullied again.
