  • The Sims

    The Sims
    In 2000, the Sims was developed by the company Maxis, although the man that led headed the team there was Wil Wright. This game was one of the firsts of its kind because there was no end goal to be achieved. It allowed players to greatly personalize the Sims and their environment.
  • Roomba

    Roomba
    In November of 2002, the Roomba was released by iRobot. This is an automated vacuum that can vacuum the floors without the use of a person guiding it by detecting obstacles in the room. The research for the Roomba was done at MIT by Colin Angle, Rodney Brooks and Helen Griener.
  • Sony Libre

    Sony Libre
    The Sony Libre was originally only released in Japan of April 2004 by Sony. This was the first major e-reader to be released, and helped jumpstart the e-book revolution.
  • The Wii

    The Wii
    The Wii was first released in November 2006 by Nintendo. This gaming console introduced the Wii remote which together with the sensor registered three dimensional movement. This allowed player to physically move themselves to play games.
  • MacBook Air

    MacBook Air
    The MacBook air was released in January of 2008 by Apple. It was first presented at the Apple keynote address by Steve Jobs. It was marketed as the lightest computer of its time, and the most portable Apple laptop.
