  • The seed sower

    invented by Jethro Tull, designed to make farming easier and quicker in planting and growing crops. The rotating cylinder with grooves in it revolves round and round once pushed, planting the seeds easily and quickly.
  • The steam engine

    invented by Thomas Newcomen - pumped water out of mines much more easily. This was used in many different places and in different ways, improving production and technology
  • The flying shuttle

    Invented by John Kay - this invention made weavers weave even faster and more efficiently. This helped the weaving industry, producing more clothes even quicker.
  • Cromptons Mule

    Invented by Samuel Crompton - invented a machine that produced strong, yet soft yarn. This made making clothes really easy, helping and changing the clothing industry.
  • The morse code telegraph

    invented by Samuel Morse - sent pulses of electrical current through wires, the morse code was then established to help communicate. The morse code telegraph improved all communications, making it possible to contact people easier, even if they were overseas!
  • The first sky scraper

    built by William Le Baron Jenney - His ten story building was built with metal frames and beams to support all of the levels. His invention helped the not enough land problem by creating the option of going up not just out.
