Mr Trash Wheel is a solar hydro-power device which is installed in Baltimore’s inner harbour for pulling debris from the water. The wheel of the device turns by the power of the river’s or sun through the solar panel attached to the wheel.
It is a unique project because this is the device of its kind and the unique machine has made the harbour cleaner than it has ever been in the last few decades. The deliverable of the project was the machine itself and it is a temporary project because it was successfully completed in 2014. He wanted to develop some technique to clean the harbour. Integrated Solid Waste Management Project for Belarus:Belarus in order to improve its capacity in solid waste management and mitigation of environmental issues, they launched Integrated Solid Waste Management Project.
It is the GEF funded project. They built a modern mechanical waste separation plant with World Bank’s supported. The new plant can recycle the wastes. Then, those remaining sorted products be sold to various Belarusian organizations. This was the first project that someone developed a packaging material using the food waste, bacteria and yeast. It will treat around 135,000 tons of household residual waste and 20,000 tons of commercial waste every year. It generate electricity to satisfy the energy demands of up to 32,000 households. The project commenced construction in October 2016 and completed around early 2018.
