I rememeber I was a sofmore in high school when I read this book. It was about his boy and father in the Holocaust. I will never forgot how his father would sacrifice what he had to help his son. He would give the son the bread to help him stay healthier and fuller longer. This book influenced me to read more nonfiction books. I felt empathy for them, and I also wanted to learn history more, which I had not been very interested in throughout school before.
