    In 1872, another attempt was made in VIC with the formation of Victoria Iron company.
  • Second attempt at smelting became the Lal Lal Mining Co.

    In 1874, the second attempt at smelting became the Lal Lal Iron Mining Co. Ldt.
  • Small blast of furnace was built.

    In 1875, a small blast furnance was built and operated into the 1880s.
  • Smelting plant closed.

    In 1877, the smelting plant was not economical and was closed.
