    Women's sufferage started in 1776 when the United States was formed because in the consitution women were not allowed to have the same rights as men because they didn't put in the consitution, it also lasted until 1920 whenwomen got right the vote

    Immigration started around the 1800's because thats when people from other countries heard the United States was a nice place to live so they started immigrating the the US in search of a better life than they had before

    The american dream was where a bunch of americans wanted to live out their lives how they wished to and do what they want to do in life no matter if you were black or white or a man or women. You could do what you wished to do.

    The industrial revoulution was the time period when people in the United States started building new technology like steam engines and cars to help out the average american. Even though it made new inventions factories and sweatshops was tirering labor for americans

    The chinese exclusion act was the act where Americans said that there can only be a certain amount of chinese people allowed to come to america each year and the chnese people had to work on the railroads for very little pay an hour

    Mass Production was where tons of americans worked in the assembly line to make a car or something and a worker that worked like this did one simple job all day long such as putting a toothpaste cap on toothpaste.

    Rabbor Barons were men that became weathy douring the Progressive Era and they made there workers work hard with little pay, but on the other hand the Captains of Industry they still didn't want to share their money but they gave some to charity and payed their workers well.

    Immigrants from other countries came to Ellis Island to come to america. After they came in they had to go through a big approvment process to even get in the country and after they get in, they still have the chance of going back to their country even though they got approved. Most of the immigrants got terrible jobs with bad pay hours.

    Child labor was when kids families didn't have enough money to take care of everyone so children started woeking for the factories to try and get money for thier family. In that in mind they also worked for long periods of time with very, very little pay

    This is when the US passed a law that states everyone that works can work for less hours with more pay. This law also made the idea of minimum wage so everyone can at least make some money in the United States
  • Progressive Era

    The progressive era was the era that americans made that inverted things like trust busting and others americans also noticed that they needed to help and save the enviroment so they invented conservation to help it.A period of widespreadpolitical,economic,and social reform from the 1890's to through the 1920's.some of the goals of the progresive era are tax reform, womens suffrage, political reform, and industrial regulation/workers rights (eight hours a day, minimum wage,workers compensation).

    One of the major factroy acidents was the Triangle shirt waist factroy fire and most of the empoloyees at the factory were kids and women who only worked because they had to make money for their family.People that worked their only got $2 a day at the most and they worked for 14 hrs at the least. Most of the buildings were bigger than sweat shops.The workers wanted things to be fair by getting more pay and less hours,but the owners didn't want that so they went on strike because they wanted hour

    Trust Busting was where say like one company has a monoply and then another bussiness can sell the same item but for less money and then there becomes competition between them and maybe the other company can make an allience to combine companies and sell the item for the same price.

    This was where americans started noticing that they were injuring the enviroment and they needed something to do about it so the came up with conservation which conserves the reasources from the enviroment
