    In Pulaski, Tennessee, a dreadful group was created called The Ku Klux Klan (AKA KKK).
  • John D. Rockefeller Creates Standard Oil

    John D. Rockefeller has created a Standard Oil Company with his partners and brother. This was a successful business empire ever created in Cleveland.
  • Alexander Graham Bell Patents the Telephone

    After Alexander Bell has created the telephone, he received a patent for his new creation. He worked with his dad in London.
  • The Great Oklahoma Land Race

    There was about 50,000 people who attended the race at high noon. However, only about 4,000 people had died (this was the origin of the Trail of Tears).
  • Ellis Island Opens to Process Immigrants

    This was the first station that opened Ellis Island. Only three ships were waiting to land for seven hundred immigrants to pass through.
  • The Wizard of Oz (Book) is Published

    The Wizard of Oz book was published by L. Frank Baum. It was all about a young farm girl named Dorothy that visits the land of oz.
  • J.P. Morgan Founds U.S. Steel

    J.P. Morgans founds the U.S. Steel for finance of the steel company with Elbert Gary.
  • Teddy Roosevelt Becomes President of the United States

    Teddy Roosevelt has been elected as the president of the U.S. after William McKinley has been killed.
  • Ford Motor Company is Founded

    The most interesting event in the Immigration timeline is the ford company getting founded by Henry ford. This is actually his third attempt at business.
  • Ida Tarbell Publishes Her Article About Standard Oil

    Ida Tarbell posted an article about oil, which exposes the many harmful things about oil.
  • The 16th Amendment is Passed

    Before the 17th amendment was passed, the 16th amendment was also passed by congress, and it too got ratified, but this time on February 3, 1913.
  • Angel Island Opens to Process Immigrants

    A new immigration station has opened, and was a main staple in the U.S. entry. This included many westward immigrants, along with asians. However, this was only partial operation.
  • The 17th Amendment is Passed

    This was passed by congress, but was later ratified on April 8, 1913. The 17th amendment has also changed Article I from the constitution.
  • The Empire State Building Opens

    Herbert Hoover has opened the Empire State Building for the purpose of the white house.
