Dora is very worried about boots because he starts drinking on the weekends and she doesnt know how to help him stop. She is worried that boots will end up getting alcohol poisining, raise his blood pressure, damage his memory, or can even cause dehydration.

After the loss of diego dora went through the 8 stages of greif, during the 3rd stage, the "anger" stage she hated everything and everyone. During the 5th stage, the "Depression" stage she was so sad and didnt want to get out of bed to do anything.

After quitting for 15 years dora's mother starts smoking again, now dora is very worried about her mother getting lung cancer, emphysema, chronic bronchities, and having a weaken immune system.

Dora and boots are at a party and boots get drunk. Boots trys to drive home from the party, but dora says no and takes away his keys. They make it home safely and take a cab home.

A couple days after the party, dora gets very sick and has to stay home from school for a week. She will take medicine, eat soup (chicken noodle), and get lots of rest. Next year to prevent her from getting the flu again she will, wash her hands often, keep her immune system stong, and get her flu vaccination.
