IB develops a partnership with more schools to provide accessibility to this program to more students outside of the private sector of schools.

Students must complete an additional component that connects two or more IB courses. For example, a student could construct an essay that incorporates and connects material from multiple IB classes in a subject area, reflecting the integration of subjects. EX: The essay would address the connections of a topic to chemistry, biology, physics.

IB students from the Middle Years would have a required component to mentor a student from the Primary Years. IB students from the Diploma Program would have to mentor a student from the Middle Years. Mentorship would provide support for success in the IB program from the student's perspective.
