  • Founding of the IB

    Founding of the IB
    This is the date that IB was founded. It was also when the Diploma Programme was established which is the curriculum at the heart of IB.
  • Middle Years Program was introduced

    Middle Years Program was introduced
    IB recognized that for students to truly succeed in high school to challenge themselves in IB curriculum, then core IB values must be introduced to students at a younger age. Hence the implementation of the Middle Years Program
  • Primary Years Program introduced

    Primary Years Program introduced
    IB continues to implement their philosophies and curriculum into younger populations of students. IB begins to recognize the benefit of students from a very young age learning what it means to be a life long learner and thinker. This allows students to not only succeed at the high school curriculum but also introduces them to skills and knowledge that they can use for the rest of their lives
  • Career Related Certificate Program Introduced

    Career Related Certificate Program Introduced
    IB begins to recognize that some students need an education that directly applies their interests and skills into the "real world" I.E a career. they recognize that college is not an options or an interest for everyone and that these students need to be pushed at quicker pace so that they can financially succeed in the job market.
  • IB Business Program

    IB Business Program
    IB recognizes that some students are driven and creative beyond their peers. These students are allowed to embark in the IB Business program which gives students the tools and opportunities to become entrepreneurs directly from high school. They are encouraged to follow their interests in tech, food, arts, science, etc. to start their own business and implement the IB philosophy through business practices to help their growing communities around the globe.
  • IB HLC Program is created

    IB HLC Program is created
    As technology more advanced and gains influence around the globe, IB sees that their core values to create critical thinkers is more important than ever. IB introduces the Visionary IB Education program (VIBE) which implements IB courses and curriculum into private and public colleges. The VIBE becomes a certificate much like a bachelors or a masters degree (in the US). The program attempts to create more mindful professionals in industries that have a wide global influence.
  • IB Global Program

    IB Global Program
    As technology develops and starts to dominate industries such as media, transportation and business, current barriers such as language, governments and country borders start to deteriorate. Humans begin to form a global community. IB Global is implemented as a standardized education that every student around the world participates in. The program honors the value of difference while gives students opportunities to engage, problem solve, inquire, and share their visions for the future.
