Founding of the IB
There was a paradigm shift in the educational values & approaches, where the traditional trends (rote learning, teacher-centric, scores & classroom-based) were replaced by the progressive trends (critical thinking & analysis-based, student-centric, criterion-referenced & learning beyond the classroom). -
Introduction of MYP
A pre-IB course infused with a diverse range of coursework and activity based learning that focuses on the six needs: personal, physical, intellectual, creative, social and global. -
Introduction of PYP
A foundation programme with a multidisciplinary approach based on the six themes: who & where we are, how we express in different ways, how the world operates, how we organise and sort ourselves as well as how we share the planet. -
Revamp of IBDP
Academic subjects in the six different groupings will undergo recombination & transformation such as the learning will be more integrated and multi-disciplinary in nature so that IB programmes will be more in line with the current & future trends & development. -
Revamp of MYP
MYP would be more structured (could be divided into lower & upper parts) as well as to be more in sync with the DP especially to connect with the TOK and EE more seamlessly with a stronger foundation in these two areas. -
Modules-based Academic Programme
*partnering with world-renowned institutes of higher learning. Instead of following the traditional classification of academic subjects and groupings, an alternative programme could be designed and developed such that it places a greater emphasis on trans-disciplinary modules (e.g. sciences with humanities or arts) that involve integrated knowledge, skills, perspectives and approaches.
