IB DP will update its mission statement to incorporate a holistic aspect as well. DP will aim to foster more well-rounded individuals who are both academically focussed and fully aware of the international issues that plague the world. Students of tomorrow become more and more capable of becoming leaders of their generation to rid the world of many problems including global warming. Many of the world leaders are IB DP trained and have made great strides in curbing this ongoing issue.

The more important development is the abolishment of traditional schools in most first world countries as most people would attend school online.
