-Explanation of event: Mussolni adopted Hitler's method to expand Italy's territory by gaining control over Ethiopia.
-SIgnificance: Tragic; Ethiopia was one of the few countries in Africa that had avoided colonization altogether. The Abysinnian Empire was very ancient. -
-Event: Hitler becomes the chancellor

-People involved: Hitler
-Explanation of the event: Germans were supportive of having a leader who offered rearmament and who opposed to the Treaty of Versailles. This made Hitler to become the new chancellor because Hitler supported all of them, and also supported territorial expansion and planned to create a new racial empire.
Significance: Gave Hitler and his cabinet endless power to make German law. -

-Explanation of event: Germany withdrew from the League of Nations because it freed Germany to rearm as it pleased.
-Significance: It was able to priove to the countries that the League was very weak, and without powerful countries like USA, Japan and Germany the League's weakness would be proven. -
