    8000 british troops were on a hill above the fort, while only 3000 USA troops were at the fort and they ended up withdrawing but only after a few gunshots were fired. I guess there was no formal siege and no pitched battle.

    The delegates from tweleve British North American Colonies met at Carpenters Hall in Pennsylvania in response to the Coercive Acts. They talked about things like including an economic boycott of British trade, rights and greiveancs, and petitioning King George for greviances.

    Benjamin Franklin was able to get the french to like him. Franklin was suppose to ask the French for money, help with the military, and other supplies. Franklin was in Paris for almost seven and half years arguing for the patriots so they could get the supplies they needed.

    A Pamphlete origianly published anonymously but written by Thomas Paine. The pamphlete was published on January 10th, 1776 as something to get the people of america on the patriots side and to make them want to be free from British rule.

    The Declaration of Independence was a document that proved that the thirteen colonies was now its own land and was no longer apart of the British Empire.

    This was the first battle in the Revolutionary War. It was the biggest battle of the entire conflict with the Declaraqtion of Independence. Also the first battle fought after being declared a new nation.

    Hessians were german soldiers hired by the british empire to help them defeat America. Washington was able to lead the main portion of the Contiential Army against the hessians at Trenton. Almost all of the Hessian Soldiers were captured and barely any of the American soldiers were harmed.

    This battle was between Washington and his army and the British-Hessian army. The Americans were eventually forced to withdraw to philadelphia after the british defeated them.

    Elizabeth Freeman was a black slave who filed a 'freedom suit' and using the constitution ended up winning. After that trial apparantly slavery was 'in formally ended'.

    The Battle of Yorktown was led by George Washington and some French forces. It was apparantly the last major land battle of the American Revolutionary War in North America. The British government eventually wanted to negotiate an end to the conflict.
