  • The Great Awakening

    A spiritual awakening inside the colonies that brought people and cities toward the faith, also having an emphasis on slavery treatment and evangelism of them (preceden.com).
  • Stono Rebellion

    Twenty slaves broke into a store, they took guns and ammo and killed the store owners. They later moved south, killing white people while recruiting African-Americans into their cause (preceden.com).
  • French and Indian War

    The war was between Britain and a multitude of enemies such as the French and Native American enemies. The war was to decide ownership over North American land (bucklinsociety.net).
  • Currency Act

    An act imposed by Britain that forbade the making of any local currency within a colony (preceden.com).
  • Stamp Act

    The first revenue tax on the colonists from Britain, taxed stamps on all documents, legal, letters, etc. (preceden.com).
  • Boston Massacre

    British troops accidently firing into a mob killing five men, one of the spurring moments that lead to protest and eventual war (infoplease.com).
  • Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party was a protest by colonists on the taxing of tea by Britain. The colonists dressed as Native Americans and boarded Britain ships, dumping their tea into the Boston Harbor (infoplease.com).
  • American Revolutionary War

    War for American independence, it was originally between the thirteen original colonies and Britain, however, France and Spain later joined in aid of the colonies (bucklinsociety.net).
