I was about 4 years old and I remember my parents reading to me.
-
It was first grade and I remember learning the alphabet and starting to read and write on my own.
-
My mom would take me to the local library on Sahara and she would help me pick out books to check out.
-
Science was my favorite subject. I loved to read about animals - I thought reptiles were so cool!
-
I hit middle school and read my first novel. The Giver was awesome!
-
I hit high school and the books suck! The Scarlet Letter!?!!? WHY?
-
I am introduced to this "Poe" guy. He makes a big impression on me. Those are some dark tales dude!
-
My college professor made us read "Notes From Underground" by Dostoyevsky. It was the first time I read something and was like... "WHAT IS THIS GUY TALKING ABOUT." I had never been so frustrated with an author in my life. Either he was insane or his genius soared above me.
-
I exit college and I basically stop reading. I have more important things to do, like go bowling - because I like to spend my time wisely.
-
I read all the time for leisure now. I go to the same library on Sahara that my mom used to take me to as a child. I was away from them for a long time, but they did not forsake me. Oh honorable books - how much I have missed thee!
