The creation of the PlayStation
Th PlayStation was developed by Sony executive, Ken Kutaragi, which was first launched in Japan but made it's American debut in 1995. -
The Dualshock controller
In the mid 97's Sony released the dualshock PlayStation controller. This bluetooth controller allows the user to play the console without a plug and soon goes off to develop into better controllers as more consoles arrive. -
Evolving into the PS2
Time after the PSone was created Sony decided it was time for another console so they developed the PlayStation 2 which had a PSX. This console soon became the most successful home console in the world. -
PSone
July 7, 2000 the PSone, which is a smaller version of the PS1, was developed and initiated throughout America, and went on to outsell other consoles. -
PS2 Slimline
4 years after the creation of the PlayStation 2 Sony wanted to repeat the PS1 but not in the same way. Sony then released the PS2 Slimline and added two more revisions 2007 and 2008. -
PSP
On May 11, 2004 the PSP, which stands for PlayStation portable, was unveiled but the development of the handheld PS was announced in 2003. -
PlayStation 3
During 2006 Sony once again released another device falling into the PlayStation generation. It was then named the PlayStation 3 and was released to America November 17. -
PSP slim
Though through a series of creations of consoles, Sony managed to develop another slim-type console. Years and time flyby but on the 20th of September in 2007 the PSP slim was released. -
PlayStation 3 ''Slim''
With the continuous tradition of the PlayStation family, Sony re-released the PS3 September 1, 2009 as a slimmer version of the original. -
The PS Vita
PS Vita similar look to the PSP and was previously codename Next Generation Portable (NGP). The PS Vita was released Decemeber 17, 2011 as the next generation PSP. -
PlayStation 3 Superslim
Unlike the other PlayStation consoles the PS3 has 3 revised models: the original, the slim, and now it is super slim. This was released in the year of 2012 but is a lighter version of the others. -
The PS Vita slim
Following the PlayStation generations Sony has came establish the PS Vita slim which is a more refined model of the original just like the PS3. This slimmer version was also released in 2012 1 year after the first PS vita was released. -
PlayStation 4
Late in the year of 2013, Ken Kutaragi and the Sony crew decided to add another generation to the PlayStation family. But this PlayStation console would be more advanced than the others by its graphics,its controller, the system, etc. -
PS4 Slim
In the year of 2016, following the generations prior to the PS4, Sony created the PS4 slim, which like the others, is a smaller refined model of the original. -
PS VR
Since Sony decided to upgrade their upcoming consoles, they went on ahead and developed the PS VR (PlayStation Virtual Reality) on October 13, 2016 which lets the user feel like their experiencing the game, but in real life. -
PlayStation 4 Pro (NEO)
Yes, the PlayStation 4 will follow the same the PS3 generation did, but the difference is there wont be no PS4 super slim. Instead Sony developed the PS4 pro which is a more powerful version of the PS4. This was also developed around the same time of the year in 2016 that the PS4 slim and the PS VR was.
