    Use of the Clavichord
    This was an instrument used primarily during the 16th-18th centurary.It is first known to appear in the early 1500's. By 1850 it's popularity was long gone. The word clavichord comes from the union of the two Latin words clavis, a key, and chorda, a string. It was a keyboard instrument played for home enjoyment, whereas the harpsichord was used for concerts/concert halls
