In 1939, Bell Telephone Laboratories completed this calculator, invented by scientist George Stibitz. In 1940, Stibitz showed off the complex number calculator at an American Mathematical Society conference held at Dartmouth College.

The Z3 computer was invented by Konrad Zuse in Berlin Germany. It was then destroyed in a bomb raid and when't under recreation. The new one is now on display at the Deutsches Museum in Munich.
