    This slave code states that all people of color that have been sold or set free are now declared as slaves and can be bought.

    This slave code states that any slave that has hit their master or master's family shall go to prison.

  • 13th Amendment

    13th Amendment is ratified by the required number of states. It abolished slavery and involuntary servitude, except as punihment for a crime.
  • 14th Amendment

    The 14th Amendment is ratified. It states that anyone born in the US is a citizen, you have to be 21 to vote, and if you have rebelled against the United States, you can't hold office.
  • 15th Amendment

    The 15th amendment is ratified. It states that the government cannot tell anyone of a different race that they cannot vote.
